Parade-goers flee in terror after a gunman opened fire on a crowd on Utica Avenue.

This year’s West Indian Day Parade was marred by an unusual amount of violence, not seen in past years parade. It is a night feared and dreaded by the police, both for their own safety and the amount of people who get shot and stabbed throughout the night.
