PISCATAWAY, NJ [CHI] — The annual Women?s Chinuch Kinus closed yesterday as conferees boarded busses, airport shuttles, and their cars to resume their regular summer schedules. From California and Washington in the west to Florida and the Carolinas in the south east to Minnesota and Toronto in the north they converged upon the Radisson hotel in Piscataway NJ for 48 hours of pure Chinuch. And they left tiered but smiling.

Veteran London educator Henny Sufrin, who co-founded the Chabad-Lubavitch center in the suburb of Ilford, Essex, passed away July 15 at the age of 76. As headmaster of the city?s Lubavitch grammar school, she touched thousands of young children, while her popular adult education classes drew thousands more Londoners over the years.

Rabbi Lazer Danzinger, only the second Canadian army chaplain since World War II, has joined the military full-time. He is now stationed next to Toronto at the 32nd Canadian Brigade. Rabbi Danzinger decided to transfer from the reserves so that he could work with soldiers around the clock.

Reb Mottel Fisher was one of the handful of American boys that joined Rabbi Yisroel Jacobson for his Shabbos afternoon Tanya Shiur in Brownsville during the 1930s. In August of 1939, only weeks before World War II broke out, Reb Mottel with a few of his friends ? including Rabbis Avrohom Hecht and Mottel Altein, set out in the historic trip to join the Central Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Otwock, Poland, to be with the Frierdiker Rebbe. On the way to Poland, the group traveled through Paris, meeting with the Rebbe, who came to see them in the train station.
