Brooklyn DA: Violent Senator Parker To Be Tried For Assault
A spokesperson for the Brooklyn district attorney’s office says State Senator Kevin Parker will be tried this summer for allegedly attacking a New York Post photographer.
Prosecutors say William Lopez had his finger broken when Parker grabbed his camera last May.
Felony charges were recently restored after a judge initially dismissed them for a lack of evidence.

NY May Set a Record as Temperatures Near 90
New York City is forecast to break a 9-year-old record high temperature tomorrow as a blast of unseasonably warm air arrives to start the new month, according to the National Weather Service.
The temperature in New York’s Central Park is expected to reach 89 Fahrenheit, which would break the 2001 record for the day of 87.

NYC To Ground Helicopter Sightseeing Tours
Citing an increase in noise complaints from helicopters, the city’s Economic Development Corporation announced plans Friday to eliminate short sightseeing tours entirely.
There will also be no more tours over Central Park, the Empire State Building or Brooklyn.
